Nathan's 2nd Birthday

Our baby boy is two today! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. We have a big party planned today with most of our family and friends coming to celebrate. I keep trying to teach Nathan how old he is by holding up two fingers, and telling him about birthdays, but his answer to everything is NO. He is definitely a two year old.

I love this picture, I'm happy and skinny and loving life!

Nathan hardly let's me take a picture of him anymore, he has figured out that he can see the photo that I took on my camera. In this picture he is asking me to see the picture that I haven't even taken yet. I love this kid!

Also I am proud to say that Nathan knows most of the alphabet, can recognize the numbers1-10 and knows all of his colors...He's so smart!

3 Years

Today is our three year anniversary! We are spending the day together in Spokane shopping, dinner and then we are going to pick up a dishwasher. Yahoo! I don't have to wash dishes any more!!

This has been the best three years of our lives, we both have everything we have ever wanted. Looking forward to many more wonderful years together.

Summer is here!

Summer has finally arrived and we are loving it! We went to the beach twice this week and today we played in our creek in the back yard. Nathan loves to dig in the sand and throw rocks. He's not quite brave enough to go into the water but he will get his feet and his hands wet. He HATES it when Mama decides it's too hot and splashes some water on him. He will point to his clothes that are now wet as if to say "Look at what you did, now I'm all wet!" This afternoon when we went to the creek for the second time today, it was so hot, and the water felt so good, I just sat down in the creek with all my clothes on for almost a half an hour....Nathan thought I was nuts.

Around the house

Too funny!

Nathan has started throwing his temper tantrums in front of the mirror. Sadly, I think that comes from my side of the family.....this kid is too funny!

Nathan is also really into singing songs with hand movements like itsy bitsy spider, and twinkle twinkle little star. He really doesn't sing much but he likes move his hands along with the song.

Nathan had to make sure it was a good spot for her to sleep, he even made snoring sounds....too cute!

Our baby LOVES to car dance! His favorite CD right now is Adell, and we listen to it over and over and over again. On this day we were headed to Grandma's and Papa's for mother's day and even though we didn't have the Adell CD Nathan was still rockin' out. Silly Mama forgot that I can only take a videos with my camera in a certain way, so the video is sideways, but it is so cute I had to post it.

Keeping Busy

Well daddy has been gone just over a week now at his Academy for work. We are lonely for our daddy, but I am trying to think of all kinds of fun things for us to do to pass the time. I introduced Nathan to painting for the first time this week, and he loved it! We have also gone to visit Jevon and Sarah, played outside with his new sidewalk chalk and bubbles, and gone for nature walks. There is a lot of time in the day to keep my little man busy, and keep my mind off of daddy being gone. The good news is that in a 1 1/2 weeks we will be going back over to Seattle to visit some more with Grandma Jackie and Papa Keith.....I can't wait!

Nathan had a great day at the Seattle children's museum. His favorite parts were going down the slides and playing in the water. I had a hard time getting really good pictures of him, because he was so busy.

Aunt Sarah and I threw a baby shower for Aunt Keri last month. We had 25 family members show up to help celebrate Joel and Keri's new baby Cliffton Michael Hills. We are so excited for the arrival of baby Cliff.

We took this picture a couple day's ago on one of our walks, we look so happy, AND sooo skinny! The weather has been slightly warmer and the sun has been shining, so we bundle up Nathan and go for 2hr walks. The exercise and fresh air really help with the wintertime cabin fever.

Daddy's last day at Walmart

Today was Billy's last day at Walmart!!! Monday he starts his new job as a Stevens County Corrections Officer. We are all so proud of him!!!! Billy applied for this job almost a year ago, and it is going to be a really nice change for our family. In the beginning, he will have to work overnights, but he only has to work 3 days and then he gets 3 days off. Even though Billy has applied for several jobs in the surrounding area, this is the job he really wanted. I am so happy for him that he gets to do what he really wants to do!

Putting away the dishes

Here is Nathan putting away the silverwear after we washed the dishes, notice how tidy everything is...LOL! Nathan has recently become very interested in what I am doing in the kitchen. He will pull up a chair to the counter, and "help" me with whatever I am doing. He is also great at sorting the laundry, now if I could just teach him to fold it and put it away too......
