Dinner and Giggles

I recently realized that I hadn't been taking any videos of our adorable little boy. Here is one I took during dinner, Nathan and Daddy are busy making funny faces at each other, and laughing it up. Too cute!

Nathan and Santa

Nathan hates Santa! Sitting on Santa's lap was very tramatic for our little boy, maybe next year will be better.

Christmas Tree

Nathan got so excited while we were decorating the Christmas Tree. He kept running around, throwing his hands in the air yelling "Christmas Tree!". He also thinks that all our Santa decorations are Papa, he's so cute!

Thanksgiving Day

Christopher, Jimbo, Billy, Nathan, and Papa P

Janet, Papa John, and Grandma DeeDee

Mmm Nathan loves his Thanksgiving dinner! He's even got mashed potatoes on his nose. His favorite thing to do was dip his green beans in his mashed potatoes and then eat them, it was too cute.

Our yummy dinner.

Mama and her turkey. This was my first turkey I have cooked, and it turned out wonderful! A big thank you to Papa Keith, and Grandma Jackie for all their wonderful advice on cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

Our first snow

I just love how pretty our little house is all covered in snow!

Halloween

Our little baby lion was so tired after trick or treating.

Mama and Nathan about to go trick or treating

Daddy dressed up as a police officer and Nathan dressed up as a lion. I love the "kissy" face Nathan is giving me.

We met Sarah, Jack and Emma for dinner before we went trick or treating, Nathan just loves his cousins! It took him a minute to recognized Emma with her blue face though.

Daddy and Nathan with their pumpkin.

Nathan's first time carving a pumpkin.

Fall

Our handsome Daddy at the Ranch cutting wood. We are finally done with the wood and can relax. It was alot of hard work cutting and splitting 9 cords of wood, but we will definetly be warm this winter.

Nathan eating apples from our tree. He was so cute sitting in the sunshine just munching on his apple.

Playing in the yard.

The view from our back window, I just love all the colors of Fall.

Nathan and Brick, on this day they were giving each other kisses through the fence.

Wood cutting

Our new family project has been cutting wood so we can stay nice and toasty this winter. We have been getting our wood from the ranch, so it's a little bit of a drive to go get it, but it's free so it's well worth it. On this day Nathan and I met Papa John up in the woods and Nathan was such a trooper! Nathan enjoyed chewing on the bark, playing in the sawdust, and finding all the sharp sticks.

My little tractor man.

Nathan had so much fun playing in the back of Billy's truck. He kept throwing the bark overboard and watching it fall. I debated bringing up the playpen, but who needs one when you have a truck bed.

Nathan even fell asleep in the back of the trailer!!! He's so cute curled up in a ball, in the corner, with his butt up in the air. Notice that he is right next to the tractor, we had the tractor running, the wood splitter running, and I was throwing wood into the truck (all very loud sounds) and Nathan just decided it was nap time.

We got the truck and trailer loaded while Nathan was asleep, and he literally woke up the second we were done...good timing. I wasn't quite sure how Papa John and I were going to get it all done with a baby underfoot, but lucky us, he slept through the whole thing.

Playing in the yard

I just love Nathan's smile!

He's just so happy, and cute.

When did my baby get so big?

Nathan just loves playing on his slide. His new favorite thing to do is to walk up the slide (with help) then slide down backwards on his tummy. On this particular day he would walk up the slide, get to the top, find a teeny tiny pine needle, throw it over the edge, watch it fall, and then slide down backwards on his tummy. He repeated this pattern for about 20 minutes, it was pretty cute to watch.

Another cute thing Nathan is doing lately is mixing up the words "tummy" and "tongue". You ask him where his tummy is, and he sticks out his tongue!

Around the house

Billy and I went for a trail ride, and when we got back Nathan wanted to ride our horses too. It was a beautiful fall day with the sun shining and blue sky.

The deer come right into our yard to eat the apples off the tree! Our horses also come and eat the apples, I hope there will be some left for us to eat.

Nathan has discovered Sesame Street. It's really cute how he gets right up onto the TV and talks to it.

Nathan helping me clean the house, he loves to sweep! In fact every time I try to sweep the floors, he takes the broom away from me and does it himself.

1 year check up

I took Nathan into the doctor's for his one year check up today. Poor kid, he's had a rough couple of days. We took him to get his hair cut yesterday and he cried so hard, then he was awake most of the night because he was cutting new teeth, and then today he had to get three shots. Needless to say I have had a grumpy boy on my hands today. We spent alot of time playing in the sunshine today. Playing outside always makes him feel so much better. We will definitely have to find a good snowsuit for him this winter, he loves it outside!

Nathan is now 20lbs and 30.9 inches long, which puts him in the 10th percentile of other kids his age. But he wears a size 5 shoe, so I have no doubt that at some point my little man will grow into his feet.

Nathan is right on track with his gross motor skills, but is lagging a little with his fine motor skills. The doctor suggested that we sit down together and color with crayons and a coloring book to help him refine those skills. Also, he needs to be able to hold onto a sippy cup and take a drink by himself, and he needs to be using eating utensils more. Nathan also needs to work on identifying body parts. I told the doctor that he knows where his penis is, but she seemed to think that wasn't enough. He has trouble finding his nose, but he sure knows where is penis is!

Tonight we were working on the names of all the parts of my face; this is Mama's nose, this is Mama's eyes, this is Mama's lips, and every time I pointed to my lips Nathan gave me the sweetest kiss! I love him!!!

Playing in the yard

I just love this picture!

Sweet little baby face

Mmmm delicious....Baby kisses

Daddy taught Nathan how to smell the flowers, he makes this cute little face and inhales, it's the cutest thing ever, and I finally got a picture it.

This is Nathan's defiant look. I had just told him he couldn't play with daddy's BBQ, and this look say's it all. Nathan is stubborn like his father and defiant like his mother, raising him should be fun, I can't wait for the teenage years!

Nathan has finally got the coordination to kick his ball, every time he tried before he would kick, miss, and fall on his butt.

Pig out in the park

Nathan is not quite sure what to think of the big pizza guy.

cute baby!

Mama and Nanny were resting in the grass when we got tackled by Nathan.

Nathan just loves the outdoors

Daddy and baby, I love this picture, they even walk the same.

Nanny looks so pretty.

Nanny's birthday was the beginning of September, so Billy and I took her to pig out in the park for her birthday. We enjoyed all the tasty food, music and sunshine. It was a great day! We then took Nanny home to visit with us for a couple of days. We sure enjoyed her company, and she really liked getting out in the country.
