Nathan had a wonderful 1st Birthday! Great Grandma Jeanie put the party together and invited everyone for us, it would have been kinda hard to plan a party in California from Washington, so I really appreciated her help, plus I think she had fun doing it. Nathan wasn't quite sure what to think of everything at first, he had gone down for a nap before the party started, and when he woke the party was in full swing with more than 30 people in the house. He warmed up quickly and had lot's of fun playing with all the kids and opening his presents, he didn't eat much dinner, but boy did he eat cake!

I learned something really neat about Nathan at this party, It turns out that there are several people in Billy's family that have the same birthmark as Nathan. Great Grandma Jeanie pointed it out to me, she has the same birthmark on her forehead, her sister has it, as well as her dad, and Nathan is one of several cousins who share the same birthmark in the same place.

We had a WONDERFUL visit to California! We stayed with Nathan's Great Great grandma Margelene and Nathan and I finally got to meet the rest of Billy's family, and most of Billy's friends. It was really neat seeing where Billy grew up, and he enjoyed showing me around town. We even went to Billy's 10yr High School Reunion, it was really fun for Billy to re-connect with his buddies.

It's been a while since I have updated the blog, so I figured I would pick up where I left off. These photos of our trip to Riverfront Park and Nanny's house were taken the middle of July, before we left for California. We had a wonderful day at the park, it was both Billy and Nathan's first time to Riverfront Park. Nathan chased Seagulls, and we all enjoyed ice cream, it was Nathan's first taste of ice cream and boy did he like it! We had a nice visit with Nanny too, but she needed some work done around the house, so we let Nanny chase Nathan around while I washed windows, and Billy fixed rain gutters. I'm really glad we live close enough to help her out.
