Daddy's little helper

Billy had to build some fence one night and Nathan decided to help, he's so cute!

Dinner time

It was really hot one night so we decided to have dinner outside. It turned out to be a really good idea, because Nathan got spaghetti everywhere!

Nathan feeding himself

Nathan has shown an interest in using utensils while he eats, here are some pictures of his first attempt. I thought that yogurt would be easiest for him to start with since you don't need much skill to get it on the spoon. He had no problems getting it on the spoon, or in his hair, or on the wall, or any other place within a 3ft radius of where he was sitting. I keep reminding myself that teaching him how to feed himself is going to be messy, but oh boy what a mess!

Beach Day

Nathan played so hard he passed out!

Nathan playing with the big kids.

Nathan kept dragging his bucket up and down the beach.

Nathan and I had a beach day with some friends of ours. Nathan just loves being outside and getting dirty, only he did not like going in the water. We had such a fun day in the sunshine.

House warming party

On August 14th we had our house warming party. We had a nice potluck dinner with family and friends, and had a nice afternoon visiting with everyone. All the kids played down in the creek and got soaking wet, while the grown up's got to relax. It was a fun day for everyone. Grandma Jackie and Papa Keith also stayed with us for a few days. It was really nice to finally have a guest room for family to stay with us. We had such a nice visit with Grandma and Papa, too bad I forgot to take pictures.

Nathan's first haircut

On August 10th we took Nathan to get his first haircut. He did not like it! The poor baby cried the whole time. Other than crying, Nathan did really well. I was worried that he would move around alot, and the combination of a squirmy baby and sharp scissors scares me. He just buried his head in his hands and cried. Thankfully it didn't take long and he was happy again soon after.

Swim Lessons

At the beginning of August, I signed Nathan up for mommy and me swim lessons. Here we are on our first day all ready to go in our swim suits and lathered in sunblock. As it turned out, Nathan HATED swim lessons! We ended up only going two day's and he cried the whole time. I thought he would really have fun in the water since he loves his bath so much, but since he wasn't having fun we didn't finish out the week of lessons. I think we will try again next year.
