I recently realized that I hadn't been taking any videos of our adorable little boy. Here is one I took during dinner, Nathan and Daddy are busy making funny faces at each other, and laughing it up. Too cute!

Nathan and Santa
Christmas Tree
Nathan got so excited while we were decorating the Christmas Tree. He kept running around, throwing his hands in the air yelling "Christmas Tree!". He also thinks that all our Santa decorations are Papa, he's so cute!

Thanksgiving Day
Halloween
Fall
Our handsome Daddy at the Ranch cutting wood. We are finally done with the wood and can relax. It was alot of hard work cutting and splitting 9 cords of wood, but we will definetly be warm this winter.
Nathan eating apples from our tree. He was so cute sitting in the sunshine just munching on his apple.

Wood cutting
Our new family project has been cutting wood so we can stay nice and toasty this winter. We have been getting our wood from the ranch, so it's a little bit of a drive to go get it, but it's free so it's well worth it. On this day Nathan and I met Papa John up in the woods and Nathan was such a trooper! Nathan enjoyed chewing on the bark, playing in the sawdust, and finding all the sharp sticks.
My little tractor man.
Nathan had so much fun playing in the back of Billy's truck. He kept throwing the bark overboard and watching it fall. I debated bringing up the playpen, but who needs one when you have a truck bed.
Nathan even fell asleep in the back of the trailer!!! He's so cute curled up in a ball, in the corner, with his butt up in the air. Notice that he is right next to the tractor, we had the tractor running, the wood splitter running, and I was throwing wood into the truck (all very loud sounds) and Nathan just decided it was nap time.
Playing in the yard
I just love Nathan's smile!
He's just so happy, and cute.
When did my baby get so big?
Nathan just loves playing on his slide. His new favorite thing to do is to walk up the slide (with help) then slide down backwards on his tummy. On this particular day he would walk up the slide, get to the top, find a teeny tiny pine needle, throw it over the edge, watch it fall, and then slide down backwards on his tummy. He repeated this pattern for about 20 minutes, it was pretty cute to watch.
Another cute thing Nathan is doing lately is mixing up the words "tummy" and "tongue". You ask him where his tummy is, and he sticks out his tongue!

Around the house
Billy and I went for a trail ride, and when we got back Nathan wanted to ride our horses too. It was a beautiful fall day with the sun shining and blue sky.

1 year check up
I took Nathan into the doctor's for his one year check up today. Poor kid, he's had a rough couple of days. We took him to get his hair cut yesterday and he cried so hard, then he was awake most of the night because he was cutting new teeth, and then today he had to get three shots. Needless to say I have had a grumpy boy on my hands today. We spent alot of time playing in the sunshine today. Playing outside always makes him feel so much better. We will definitely have to find a good snowsuit for him this winter, he loves it outside!
Nathan is now 20lbs and 30.9 inches long, which puts him in the 10th percentile of other kids his age. But he wears a size 5 shoe, so I have no doubt that at some point my little man will grow into his feet.
Nathan is right on track with his gross motor skills, but is lagging a little with his fine motor skills. The doctor suggested that we sit down together and color with crayons and a coloring book to help him refine those skills. Also, he needs to be able to hold onto a sippy cup and take a drink by himself, and he needs to be using eating utensils more. Nathan also needs to work on identifying body parts. I told the doctor that he knows where his penis is, but she seemed to think that wasn't enough. He has trouble finding his nose, but he sure knows where is penis is!
Tonight we were working on the names of all the parts of my face; this is Mama's nose, this is Mama's eyes, this is Mama's lips, and every time I pointed to my lips Nathan gave me the sweetest kiss! I love him!!!

Pig out in the park
Nathan is not quite sure what to think of the big pizza guy.

Mama and Nanny were resting in the grass when we got tackled by Nathan.
Nathan just loves the outdoors
Daddy and baby, I love this picture, they even walk the same.
Nanny looks so pretty.
Nanny's birthday was the beginning of September, so Billy and I took her to pig out in the park for her birthday. We enjoyed all the tasty food, music and sunshine. It was a great day! We then took Nanny home to visit with us for a couple of days. We sure enjoyed her company, and she really liked getting out in the country.
